We were down in Ellicottville yesterday shooting some maternity photos and getting our fall on, and now I have Ellicottville on the brain, so I thought I'd share Amanda + Eric's wedding this morning. It's funny - I'm scanning this post, and I picked one photo of Amanda not absolutely beaming, which I may have done due to a complete lack of wedding photos of her without a huge smile.
Amanda + Eric are two of the nicest people I've ever met, and they had an incredible group of people around them on their wedding day. Their family and friends were visibly elated that A+E were getting married, and as a wedding photographer, there's little that is more fun to shoot - everyone just so, so happy for the couple and happy simply to be there for them.

It's a little crazy selecting images for a blog post - it probably seems like it should be the easiest thing in the world. Pick a few nice photos, slap them together, bam! Blog post! But the reality is that looking back through the images of a day and trying to pick favorites is crazy hard. We have been epically lucky in this business having couples who are amazing, happy, stylish people, and we get so emotionally attached to images and the moments happening in them, that we inevitably spend hours trying to decide what to showcase.
Kelly + Joe were no exception - it took me crazy long to select my favorites, but as I was doing it, a bunch of B&W stood out to me, so I decided to go for an all B&W post. And I kinda love how it looks, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see more blog posts stripped of color. :)
When we shoot a wedding, we deliver both color and b&w images - we used to choose which moments were color or black and white, but we decided that while we may love a certain image in B&W, our clients may prefer the color, so who are we to make that decision for them? So, now we give both, which is just something I feel the need to clarify when I do an all B&W post. :) Anyway, here are Kelly + Joe!
